15.06.15 Chevrolet Silverado HD Leads its Segment in J.D. Power’s Vehicle Dependability Study
The Chevrolet Silverado topped the Large Heavy Duty Pickup segment in the 2015 J.D. Power Vehicle Dependability Study. In addition, the Silverado Light Duty pickup took second in its respective segment. This year marks the Chevrolet brand’s best-ever results in the benchmark dependability study.
The 2015 study tracks 2012 model year vehicles in the third year of ownership.
The 2015 Chevrolet Silverado HD pickups (2500HD and 3500HD) are engineered to be stronger and smarter, delivering the capability heavy-duty pickup customers demand, along with greater refinement and control for more comfort and confidence on the job and on the road.
The 2015 models are available with segment-exclusive safety features such as Forward Collision Alert, Lane Departure Warning with an Active Safety Seat, and Front and Rear Park Assist. Head-curtain and seat-mounted side airbags are standard on 2500 and available on 3500 models.
In addition, the models are available in Work Truck (WT), LT and LTZ trims, and offered in regular cab, double cab and crew cab configurations (regular cab available only in WT and LT trims). The new double cab model replaces the previous extended cab and features forward-hinged rear doors, which allow easier access in tight parking spaces.
Lastly, the pickups are available with all-new, stronger 6’6”and 8’ cargo boxes with standard CornerStep bumpers, EZ Lift-and-Lower tailgates, and other features that make cargo handling easier.
All customers of the 2015 Silverado HD will receive a new level of customer experience courtesy of Chevrolet Care, which ensures hassle-free service and the lowest maintenance cost. Chevrolet Care provides competitive service pricing and cost transparency; booking service with same-day delivery; quality service by certified technicians; regional 24x7 roadside assistance; and a regional 3-year/100,000-km warranty. Chevrolet’s scheduled maintenance interval is once every 10,000 km versus once every 5,000 km for most of its competitors.
